WIDGER’s portfolio showcases a range of beautifully crafted designs and built projects, resulting from a positive amalgamation of ideas between client, architect, and all associated parties. The practice creates unique architectural and interior proposals, focusing on providing spaces that are joyful to inhabit in an increasingly intense modern world. Projects prioritize energy efficiency, conscious material choices, and respect for the natural environment, both ethically and for the well-being of those who occupy the spaces.

Completed projects have garnered worldwide recognition, appearing in exhibitions, publications, and design journals, and have been shortlisted in prestigious competitions. Notably, they were shortlisted and exhibited for the UK Wood Awards at the London Design Fair alongside Foster + Partners’ Bloomberg HQ. They were also shortlisted for New London Architecture’s "Don’t Move, Improve!" Awards and longlisted for the international Dezeen Awards, where they were featured in Dezeen’s selection of the "Best home offices with stylish setups for remote working." Additionally, the projects have been published in the Swiss publication Makeover.

This exposure enhances a project’s profile, typically increasing its perceived value. A key consideration within the design process is not only to design for the present, but also to maintain a long-term vision focused on how thoughtful design and construction can impact the property’s eventual value.

Kevin Widger founded the practice after working at some of the UK’s top architectural and design firms, leading highly successful, award-winning projects that gained international press recognition. Kevin is a registered architect in the United Kingdom with the Architects Registration Board (ARB). His status as an architect is also officially recognized by the Lietuvos Respublikos Aplinkos Ministerija in Lithuania, allowing him to practice as an architect in Lithuania and across the European Union post-Brexit. Kevin completed his architectural studies at Kingston University, London, following the majority of his education at the University of East London, where he graduated with Distinction honors.

Alongside his architectural practice, Kevin maintains a strong relationship with academia. Since 2016, he has been teaching architecture at the BA degree level (design and technology) at the University of Brighton as a Visiting Lecturer. He also teaches interior design at the MA level at the University of East London. This involvement ensures that his practice remains up to date and inspired by the latest architectural trends, technologies, and ideologies.

Kevin’s wide-ranging experience in both architectural practice and teaching provides a comprehensive understanding of the profession. However, it is also important to draw influences from beyond the industry. In addition to his architectural achievements, Kevin is a qualified swimming instructor, a skill he gained after competing in his youth, and he continues to participate in open-water swim marathons. He also has a good understanding of the Lithuanian language after living in Vilnius for a period of time. Travel, in general, forms a significant source of inspiration and influence in his work, yet rural England remains a continuous point of reference. This blend of influences forms the foundation of WIDGER Architecture’s unique design perspective.
